This course introduces students to major works of English literature from the early Middle Ages through the 18th century. Students explore the historical, cultural, and literary contexts that shaped some of the most influential texts in the English tradition. Readings include epic poetry, drama, prose, and philosophical writings, paired with quizzes, discussions, and creative activities that encourage critical thinking and engagement with the material.
