Resource Description:

Calculations and Palpations: An Open Invitation to Biological Anthropology Laboratory” by Lauren Taylor-Hill is unique among existing available OER Bio Anth Lab texts in that it covers the entirety of the course content as prescribed in the Common Course Numbering Template (ANTH C1001L) This link will take you to an external website in a new tab..  Specifically, “C&P” stands out in that it offers original comprehensive laboratory exercises on the appendicular and axial skeleton that are designed expressly for the introductory Bio Anth Lab student.  Each of the 17 chapters in "C&P" begins with a suggested list of laboratory materials to make lab set-up easy.   Every chapter offers at least a dozen novel and engaging laboratory exercises from which individual instructors can build lab assignments to best suit their lab materials and their students' needs.  All chapters also include extensive linked topical OER background readings to fully support the curriculum, eliminating the need to adopt any other resources.
